Seeking Volunteers for the 2024 Cottonwood Historic Property Tour Committee
COTTONWOOD, AZ – The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is seeking 5 citizen volunteers to join the 2024 Cottonwood Historic Property Tour (CHPT) committee. The committee currently consists of 3 HPC Commissioners: Vice-Chair Kristina Detjen, Commissioner Edwards, and Commissioner Monell.
The CHPT is a walking tour that showcases several historic properties in the Old Town area. It is typically held during the Walkin’ on Main event in early November. Proceeds from the CHPT go towards the 50/50 matching small grant program that is aimed at providing financial assistance to owners of landmarked properties within Cottonwood.
Volunteers will be expected to attend committee meetings at least two times each month. They will also conduct additional outreach with businesses requesting sponsorship for the event and assist during the event.
