Born and raised in the farm country of north-central Illinois, I moved with my family to Flagstaff, AZ, in August of 1984. A twenty-seven-year residency in the Verde Valley began in 1997 with a purchase of a home on the airstrip in Rimrock; widowed in 2003, later moving to Cottonwood in March of 2006. I have a large supportive family.
My husband and I were small business owners in Flagstaff and later real estate investors in the Verde Valley. I have volunteered with the Old Town Mission and National Park Service and am a founding member of the Verde Valley Homeless Coalition. I currently serve as Secretary and bookkeeper for my HOA, previously the Treasurer. I take every opportunity available to hike Dead Horse Ranch State Park and local and city trails. Birdwatching is another activity I enjoy. Though I have a pilot’s license, I am no longer current to fly. What a privilege it was to soar with the eagles.
I am looking forward to serving on the City Council, working collaboratively with the Mayor and other Council Members to restore trust and confidence in our local government to the citizens of Cottonwood.
