City of Cottonwood Seeking Applicants for Fire Inspector I Position within the Cottonwood Fire Department
COTTONWOOD, AZ – The Cottonwood Fire Department is seeking motivated professionals to join our team as a Fire Inspector I. This position plays a vital role in protecting lives and property through fire inspections, code enforcement, fire investigations, and public fire & life safety education while also supporting emergency response operations including fire suppression, EMS, rescue, hazardous materials, and special operations.
This is a non-exempt, full-time, classified position with full benefits. The hiring range is $25.96-$38.94. Those who are interested in this position are encouraged to apply online at cottonwoodaz.gov/600/Employment-Opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to obtain International Code Council or Arizona State Fire Inspector I Certification
- Successful completion of Arizona IAAI Fire Investigator 1 & 2 (or equivalent) within one year of employment
- Possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License
Additional Information
Must be able to respond to calls within 60 minutes legal driving time to the fire station, under general conditions and circumstances, within one year of employment. Response time must be maintained through tenure at the Cottonwood Fire Department.
