Preparation for Asphalt Paving to Occur in Mingus Avenue/Main Street Intersection

COTTONWOOD, AZ – The City of Cottonwood and their contractor will be performing preparation work ahead of asphalt paving in the Mingus Avenue/Main Street intersection on the nights of Monday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 6. This work is being done in advance of asphalt paving operations, which are scheduled to begin on Friday, January 9.

The intersection of Mingus Avenue/Main Street will be intermittently closed to eastbound/westbound traffic during nighttime hours (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.). Northbound/southbound traffic along Main Street will be maintained, however, access to Mingus Avenue from Main Street will be restricted at times. Business access will remain open at all times. Motorists should follow the marked detour signage and use an alternate route if possible.
