Asphalt Paving Nears Completion Along a Section of Main Street
COTTONWOOD, AZ – Asphalt paving operations are currently underway along a section of Main Street, from the 10th Street roundabout to Mingus Avenue. In an effort to expedite completion prior to the upcoming winter weather, crews will be working 24/7 to finish asphalt paving operations this weekend. Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 14, southbound traffic along Main Street will be closed between the 10th Street roundabout and Mingus Avenue with a detour route along 10th Street or Willard Street. Motorists are encouraged to use these detours. This closure will remain in effect until paving is completed over the weekend. Business access will remain open during this work.
Following the completion of asphalt paving operations, crews will be performing temporary striping operations. Permanent striping will take place at a later date when temperatures allow.
During this work, you can expect:
• Southbound travel along Main Street will be closed. A detour route along 10th Street and Willard Street will be in place.
• One lane of traffic in each direction
• Traffic control devices and cones in place at all times
• Vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle detour routes
• Flagging operations
• Loud noise
• Construction equipment in the roadway
• Travel delays
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work hard to finish asphalt paving as quickly as possible.
