The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge is a Wrap!

COTTONWOOD, AZ – The Cottonwood Public Library’s 2025 Summer Reading Challenge has officially come to a close and what a summer it was!

We had 687 participants who read 501,498 minutes and collectively redeemed 2,789 rewards! This year, we were thrilled to partner with Cottonwood Oak Creek School District Camp Innovation, encouraging each of their students to read 30 minutes per day and earn prizes. The group also enjoyed their new library cards and library visits, strengthening our connection with the community.

In June and July, we hosted 160 programs with a total of 5,437 attendees an incredible turnout that shows just how much our community loves learning and engaging at the library.

A huge thank-you to our more than 20 local sponsors who made this summer possible:
Cottonwood Bookmarks • City of Cottonwood • Cottonwood Parks & Recreation • Out of Africa • Black Bear Diner • Game On • Old Town Rocks • Blazing M Ranch • Calavera • Pop-Up Market • Verde Canyon Railroad • Annie’s • Dairy Queen • Gayle’s Chocolates • Bing’s Burgers • Dunkin Donuts • Neighborhood Coffee Shop • Sonic • The Hive • The Krow • R & R Pizza • Wholesome Cafe • The Human Bean • Arizona State Library • Scottsdale Public Library • Firstbook.org • Amanda with the Verde Valley Sanctuary • Artists Joan Bourque & Elizabeth Olvera • Tom Coultas • Jack Van Rixel

Thank you to everyone who read, attended programs, supported, and celebrated with us! We can’t wait for next summer!
