Cottonwood Firefighter Janine Jaber Selected as State Representative for Women in Fire

COTTONWOOD, AZ – Cottonwood Fire Department is proud to announce that Firefighter Janine Jaber has been selected to serve as the State Representative of Arizona for Women in Fire, a national organization dedicated to supporting the advancement of women in the fire service.

This prestigious appointment marks a significant achievement not only for Firefighter Jaber but also for Cottonwood Fire Department and the broader firefighting community in Arizona. The position is a two-year term, during which Firefighter Jaber will act as a key liaison between Women in Fire and fire departments across the state, promoting education, support, and advocacy for women in all ranks of the fire service.

Women in Fire is a nationally recognized organization that provides resources, education, and a network of support to help women advance and thrive in the fire and emergency services. As State Representative, Firefighter Jaber will be involved in outreach, resource development, and collaboration with departments to foster inclusive environments.

Firefighter Jaber has been a firefighter/paramedic since 2020 and has served with Cottonwood Fire Department since 2023. She has been a committed advocate for equity and excellence in the fire service. This appointment is both a recognition of her work and an opportunity to inspire the next generation of firefighters across the state.
