Buckle Logo The Cottonwood Equestrian and Animal Events Center has enjoyed immense success from humble beginnings. The facility has recently been voted Best Ground in Arizona, and received rave reviews from outside rodeo organizations. All of which are impressive for a facility that is merely six years old, but the truly remarkable part is that most of the improvements and programs have been completed by a dedicated group of volunteers called the Friends of the Arena. In 2012, the Cottonwood Equestrian & Animal Events Center hit the ground in a dead gallop working feverishly to construct a new warm-up arena. This improvement would not have been possible without the help of Daria Weir, Camp Verde FFA, Yavapai Apache Sand & Rock, Pierre Mulcare and Mike Jones. The improvements were completed to enable the facility to host large rodeo events with the goal of generating additional economic activity in the Verde Valley.
