Council Member Linda Norman was born and raised in Texas. She moved to Cottonwood in 1985 and helped her family open a business. Linda worked in the local school system for 13 years as a bookkeeper and secretary. She then went to work for Yavapai County as secretary for Supervisor Chip Davis, and worked there for 5 years. Linda retired the end of November, 2004. She was elected to the Cottonwood City Council in May, 2005.
Linda has two grown sons living in Cottonwood and Clarkdale. She has 4 grandchildren, 3 grand-daughters and one grandson. Her grandson is currently serving in the U S Air Force. In addition to her duties as a Council Member, she enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with her grandkids.
